The Home Builders Federation (HBF) has confirmed the theme and campaign pack for this year’s New Homes Week consumer awareness campaign, taking place 27 February to 3 March.
The ‘Make your move’ campaign will provide a
positive platform to highlight the benefits of new build homes.
The cost-of-living crisis, rising energy bills, and
general market confidence have led people to increasingly question whether now
is a good time to buy. This year’s campaign aims to directly address this by
showing how new build homes can alleviate some uncertainty for homebuyers and
highlight the benefits of new homes vs older properties.
The creative concept – Get on with living – taps
into the comfort a new build home, from chain-free buying and developer
incentives to the cost-savings on energy bills and peace of mind in not having
to carry out costly upgrades.
The campaign messaging will focus on three
spotlights:
- Energy
efficient homes: how new build homes are saving consumers money on their
energy bills
- Built for
now: New build homes are built to modern standards, saving consumers time
and money on costly upgrade works
- Confidence
in costs: Raising awareness of the buying schemes and incentives are
available to help consumers buy their new home
As part of the campaign, HBF will be updating the
energy bills savings figures referenced in our Watt a Save report and the figures for the price of not buying new report.
Steve Turner, Executive Director at HBF said: “New
Homes Week provides a welcome opportunity for homebuilders and associates to
increase consumer awareness of the benefits of new builds. Against the
challenging market backdrop, I encourage industry to come together to make this
year’s campaign a success and maximise the opportunity to amplify the benefits
of buying new.”
The campaign will be delivered through HBF’s consumer-facing
website, New-homes.co.uk,
and supporting social media channels:
